HD HeartBeat is a two-part program:
1. A windows service for Windows 2000 & XP that collects data from the local hard disks and sends the data to the local network. Since Windows 98 & ME do not support services, we had to implement a tray application in these operating systems
2. A client program that listens to the network and receives data and displays it
